Let’s say a big TEN-FOUR! for SUSI who has signed off the CB radio for the last time. SUSI, at only four years old, has retired from her truck driving job.
As a pup, Susi was adopted (from a shelter) by a well-meaning college student. But soon after, Susi’s nice new owner realized she could not properly care for a dog, so her sister, whose husband is a trucker, re-adopted Susi. Susi quickly occupied the “B-Seat” in her new dad’s truck, and together they hit the open road. Susi’s trucker job lasted two glorious years, and she truly enjoyed traveling the US with dad.
When Dad’s trucking job sadly ended, Susi’s life became miserable. No more truck trips. No more excitement. Instead, she was confined to a backyard restraint.
Thankfully, Susi’s owner contacted Chain Free Dogs on Facebook and got a fence installed for Susi to run free. Susi is now enjoying her retirement, living a life of leisure in marvelous freedom!
