PRINCESS

"PRINCESS FEELS LIKE A QUEEN!"

Behold this beautiful Princess, a one-year-old Shepherd Mix named PRINCESS!

This precious little girl had been chained up most of her life! Her owner works long hours and did her very best to bring Princess inside at night and during extreme weather.

During the day, people driving by were saddened by the sight of friendly little Princess chained out in the front yard, and a few called Animal Control to report it.

Because of Washington County’s soft dog laws, the best anyone could do for Princess was to offer spaying. Thank goodness that WC Animal Control transported Princess to and from her spay surgery, and thanks to The Judy and Doug Lowerie Spay Neuter Clinic (at WCJC Animal Shelter) for the surgery!

You can bet Chain Free Dogs and Backyard Borders (the actual fence builder) stepped in to help.

Life is brighter for Princess these days. In her newly fenced yard she’s experiencing life like never before – freedom for the first time in her life. She feels like a Queen! We can all breathe a sigh of relief, Princess, her owners, passersby—well, the entire world!

UPDATE! BRIGHTER SKIES AHEAD! WASHINGTON COUNTY RECENTLY PASSED A NEW ORDINANCE THAT SETS STANDARDS FOR THE LIVING CONDITIONS OF OUTDOOR DOGS. THIS IS A PROMISING FIRST STEP!
