This is Augusto, a three year old Chihuahua who feels he came from royalty and deserves the utmost respect.

If you Google name meanings you will find that the name Augusto means “majestic, venerable.” However, as majestic and venerable as Augusto feels himself to be, he was caught one too many times behaving like a peasant, a lowly hooligan running the streets with complete lack of etiquette. Sadly, Augusto had to be chained up for his own protection.

Until Chain Free Dogs stepped in, that is, and freed King Augusto from chains! Now his kingdom is fenced in and he can rule with dignity.

Augusto wishes he could speak so he could recite his favorite Alexander the Great quote, which he ascribes to those wonderful people at Chain Free Dogs who released him from bondage: “EVERY LIGHT IS NOT THE SUN”
